Guidance Officer

Key Responsibilities

·         Supervise students under detention, in-house suspension and reintegration programmes.

·         Conduct student patrols during arrival, recess and dismissal, and promote positive behaviour through restorative practices.

·         Assist with minor incident investigations, interviews, evidence gathering and report preparation.

·         Engage, mentor and provide social-emotional support to identified students.

·         Develop and conduct targeted SEL activities and provide in-class student support where required.

·         Maintain student discipline records, case notes, statistics and intervention updates.

·         Liaise with teachers and school staff to support student development and learning continuity.

·         Assist with reviewing student management processes and perform other duties assigned by the school.

·         Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information.

Requirement:

• Preferably three (3) years of direct experience working with children / youths at-risk. This includes supporting students with behavioural, emotional, or learning needs through targeted interventions, mentoring, or developmental programmes

The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution (e.g., National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University), preferably in Social Work, or Counselling, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Child or Adolescent Development or equivalent etc.

The Personnel must be registered with MOE as of ITQ closing date.
