Guillotine, Brake Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Guillotine and Press Brake Operator to join our team at K-Space (NI) Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Guillotine and Press brake and other fabrication machinery. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery including Press brake, Guillotine and Saw machines to cut, fold & fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Mig welding on R&D projects, assisting Fabrication department to cover holidays, etc.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the correct dimensions and shapes.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine issues to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Proven experience of working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery related to metal fabrication.
• Experience with sheet metal work is essential.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A dependable means of getting to and from work
• Fluent in English
