Candidates must be available to work Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Availability during these hours is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service customer firearms according to established procedures.

  • Assist the gunsmith with firearm maintenance, repair, installation, and other shop-related projects as needed.
  • Receive customer firearms and accurately document requested services, firearm information, and customer contact information.
  • Communicate with customers regarding service requests, estimated timelines, completed work, and firearm pickup.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for gunsmithing services and work orders.
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, customer follow-up, inventory-related tasks, and maintaining service documentation.
  • Operate the company's point-of-sale (POS) system to process gunsmithing services, products, parts, and other transactions.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional gunsmithing workspace.
  • Assist with tracking firearms, parts, accessories, and pending work to ensure jobs are completed and returned to customers efficiently.

  • Maintain appropriate security and accountability of customer firearms and company property.
  • Assist customers with general firearm, accessory, and service-related questions within the scope of the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the gunsmithing department and overall facility operations.

  • Must be available to work Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, firearm maintenance, or firearm accessories is strongly preferred.
  • Previous firearms-industry, retail, gunsmithing, armorer, or related experience is preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies

Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to firearm safety, organization, accuracy, customer service, and accountability. Because this position involves handling both company-owned and customer-owned firearms, attention to detail and responsible firearm handling are essential.
