What they need

About the role

Harvest Edukasi is an integrated solutions provider for schools and educational institutions in Indonesia, offering curriculum materials, human resource development, and technology for schools across Indonesia. We are seeking someone who is not only skilled at teaching coding, but also tech-savvy and enjoys contributing input for learning material, ideal for someone who wants to grow with a small, agile team.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach Coding (Visual & Text Programming — JavaScript, Python) to elementary and junior high school students interactively and in accordance with age-appropriate development stages.
  • Contribute to the coding curriculum development team, providing input and ideas based on direct classroom teaching experience.
  • Provide basic-level technical support (tier-1) to partner schools regarding Harvest technology platform (login, application navigation, basic installation, and general troubleshooting); complex technical issues are escalated to the internal team.
  • Monitor student learning progress and prepare periodic reports for schools/parents.
  • Provide feedback and assessment of student learning achievements.

About you

  • Have experience teaching coding or IT in schools/training institutions (required).
  • Have been involved in developing materials/learning plans, not necessarily as the main curriculum lead (required).
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable using various applications/software, quick to learn new tools, and able to explain simple technical steps to non-technical people.
  • Have basic troubleshooting experience (software installation, internet connection, application navigation), not engineer-level, just a patient and systematic problem-solver.
  • Passion for teaching and technology, especially teaching children.
  • Understand basic pedagogy and teaching methodology.
  • Able to work in a team and have a good attitude.
  • Own a laptop/tablet, personal vehicle, and active driver's license.
  • D3/S1 education in Engineering or Educational Technology is a plus, not a requirement.
  • English language ability is a plus.

Benefits

  • Your voice is heard in curriculum development, not just implementing pre-made modules without room for input.
  • Opportunity to develop towards curriculum or technical support as Harvest grows, open to those who demonstrate results, not automatic.
  • Part of a small, agile team with direct access to decision-makers.
