Gym opening shift/key holder

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and responsible Gym Opening Shift/Key Holder to join our dynamic fitness team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact during the opening hours, ensuring the smooth operation of the gym and providing exceptional guest services. Duties

• Open the gym facility each morning, ensuring all systems and equipment are operational and ready for members
• Manage daily operations including member check-ins, cash handling, and facility cleanliness
• Supervise staff members on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and safety standards
• Oversee guest services, resolving member inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
• Coordinate with management on operational needs such as budgeting, inventory, and maintenance requests
• Implement safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
• Assist in planning and executing special events or promotional activities at the venue to enhance member engagement

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or supervising experience in a hospitality, event venue, or nightclub environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and make sound managerial decisions
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for report writing and operational documentation
• Experience in event management and operations management is highly desirable
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and budgeting processes
• First aid and CPR certification preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Previous resort or nightclub experience is a plus; familiarity with shift management and team management practices is essential
• Effective communication skills to liaise with staff, management, and guests seamlessly
