Part-Time Recreational & Team Gymnastics Coaches

I Flip Gymnastics is seeking passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Part-Time Recreational and Team Gymnastics Coaches to join our growing team in Richmond, CA!

Both experienced and inexperienced coaches are encouraged to apply! We are happy to provide training and guidance for individuals who are new to coaching but have a passion for gymnastics and working with children. Whether you have years of coaching experience or are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow in the gymnastics industry, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for coaches who are excited to help gymnasts of all ages and skill levels develop their abilities, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love for the sport.

Positions Available

• Recreational Gymnastics Coach
• Team Gymnastics Coach
• Coaches with experience or interest in both recreational and competitive gymnastics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, age- and skill-appropriate gymnastics classes and practices.
• Teach and demonstrate proper gymnastics techniques, skills, progressions, and safety practices.
• For recreational classes, work with children ages 3–12 in a positive and supportive environment.
• For team programs, provide focused instruction, skill development, conditioning, and preparation for competitive gymnastics.
• Ensure a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all athletes.
• Motivate gymnasts and help them build confidence while progressing toward individual and team goals.
• Monitor athletes' progress and provide constructive feedback to gymnasts and parents when appropriate.
• Modify instruction and progressions based on individual skill levels and abilities.
• Maintain a clean and organized gym environment and properly care for equipment.
• Follow all gym safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Assist with gymnastics events, showcases, competitions, and other gym activities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous gymnastics coaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Experienced coaches and individuals new to coaching are welcome to apply!
• Training will be provided to help new coaches learn our teaching methods, class structure, safety procedures, and coaching techniques.
• Competitive gymnastics experience and/or experience coaching team programs is a plus for Team Coach applicants.
• A background in gymnastics, athletics, or experience working with children is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow as a coach.
• Positive, energetic, and encouraging attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to creating a positive experience for every athlete.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other coaches and staff members.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling based on class and team practice schedules.

Pay: $19–$35 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, coaching background, and position.

Opportunities may be available for coaches interested in working recreational classes, team programs, or a combination of both.
