Gymnastics Coordinator-Full Time at the YMCA!

Turn Your Passion for Gymnastics Into Impact! The Ocean Community YMCA is looking for an energetic and experienced Gymnastics Coordinator to lead and grow our recreational and competitive gymnastics programs. This position blends hands-on coaching with program leadership, staff development, safety, and family engagement—all while creating a positive environment where kids can build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of gymnastics.

Location: Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA, Westerly, RI

Classification: Full-Time, exempt

Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000 per year

What You’ll Do

• Lead high-quality recreational and competitive gymnastics programming
• Coach and support our competitive Gymnastics Team
• Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor gymnastics staff
• Develop engaging programs that grow participation and retention
• Coordinate meets, competitions, and special events
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming gymnastics environment
• Build strong relationships with athletes, families, and community partners

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of gymnastics experience
• Working knowledge of gymnastics skills and spotting techniques for beginner, intermediate, and advanced competitive levels
• Gymnastics safety certification required within 6 months of employment
• CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications required
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for athletes, staff, and families
