Gypsum - Tile Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily gypsum board installation, gypsum ceiling works, partitions, bulkheads, and decorative gypsum features.
• Supervise floor and wall tile installation, including ceramic, porcelain, and other specified tile materials.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and site instructions.
• Allocate daily tasks to gypsum installers, tile fixers, helpers, and other site workers.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Check site measurements, levels, alignment, tile patterns, joint spacing, and finishing quality.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, MEP teams, and other subcontractors to avoid work conflicts.
• Monitor manpower, material usage, tools, and equipment to maintain productivity and reduce wastage.
• Report daily work progress, manpower attendance, material requirements, and site issues to the Site Engineer.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects before requesting inspection or approval.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with site health and safety requirements.
• Follow the project schedule and ensure assigned activities are completed within the required timeframe.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school education, technical training, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in gypsum and tile installation works.
• Previous experience as a foreman or team leader in construction projects.
• Good knowledge of gypsum board systems, ceiling framing, partitions, tile adhesives, grouting, and finishing methods.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and site measurements.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workers and meet project deadlines.
