Requirements For This Opportunity

• IOSH Managing Safely qual.
• NEBOSH qual-Desirable
• First Aid at Work qualification.
• Good understanding of current UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a Health & Safety role.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.

Role In your new role as Health and Safety Officer:

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all areas of the business.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and company procedures.
• Identify hazards and recommend practical solutions to reduce and control risks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor and track health and safety performance, reporting trends and recommendations to management.
• Develop, review, and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work, and health and safety policies.
• Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and employee training programmes.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on health and safety matters.
• Ensure all statutory inspections, testing, and certifications are completed and maintained.
• Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives and encourage a positive safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing workplace safety and operational compliance.
