H215 PILOT IN COMMAND / COMMANDER (M/F/X)

Helion Helicopters is looking for experienced H215 Pilots in Command (PIC) / Commanders to join our aerial firefighting operations in Greece.

This is an opportunity to operate one of the industry's most capable heavy-lift helicopters, performing demanding missions in challenging environments where precision, leadership, and safety are essential.

As an H215 Commander, you will lead your crew and conduct critical aerial firefighting missions, utilizing belly tank operations, as well as specialized HHO and HESLO missions where qualified and authorized.

Your Mission

• Command H215 helicopter operations, ensuring the highest standards of flight safety and operational performance.
• Execute complex aerial firefighting missions in demanding environments.
• Make critical operational decisions based on weather, aircraft performance, terrain, and mission risk assessments.
• Lead and mentor flight crews, promoting effective Crew Resource Management (CRM).
• Ensure compliance with EASA regulations, company SOPs, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through hazard identification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Flight Experience

• 2,000 hours minimum total helicopter flight time.
• 1,000 hours minimum PIC on multi-engine helicopters.
• 300 hours minimum on H215/AS332/H225, including at least 200 hours as PIC or PICUS.
• 300 hours minimum operational helicopter experience in comparable environments (e.g., aerial firefighting or mountain operations).

Licences & Qualifications

• Valid EASA CPL(H) or ATPL(H).
• Valid H215/AS332/H225 Type Rating.
• Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 minimum.
• Approved MCC course or regulatory equivalent.
• Ability to successfully complete all applicable Helion Helicopters training and checking requirements in accordance with OM-D.

Highly Valued

• Proven aerial firefighting experience, particularly with Belly Tank operations.
• Experience in HHO and/or HESLO missions.
• Strong decision-making abilities under operational pressure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and CRM skills.
• Fluency in English; Greek or French language skills are a strong advantage.
