HAIR CONSULTANT

Job Summary

You will welcome customers, identify their hairstyle preferences, and provide personalized haircuts, coloring, and styling services. You will maintain cleanliness, manage bookings, and promote hair care products to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and ask targeted questions to understand their hairstyle preferences

Recommend hairstyles and haircuts based on customers’ face shapes and tastes

Wash, rinse, and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners for specific hair types

Cut, trim, and shave hair using professional equipment to achieve desired styles

Apply diverse hair coloring techniques such as highlights, ombre, and balayage accurately

Create hairstyles for formal events and daily looks, including braids, ponytails, and buns

Apply hair treatment products like color protection creams and hydrating masks as needed

Build and maintain relationships with loyal customers by remembering their hairstyle preferences

Manage appointment bookings and attend to walk-in customers efficiently

Maintain tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools to ensure hygiene standards

Cross-sell hair care products and services appropriately to enhance customer experience

Use hair straightening and curling methods with hot irons and curlers safely and effectively

Stay updated on industry trends to provide current and fashionable hair services

Demonstrate physical stamina to stand for long hours during service delivery

Adapt to flexible work shifts as required by the salon schedule

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Previous work experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or similar role
