Are you creative, motivated and passionate about hair?

BLK Hair Studio is looking for an enthusiastic Hairdressing Apprentice to join our growing team in Atherton. As our current first-year apprentice progresses into their second year, we now have an apprenticeship position available for someone ready to begin their own career in hairdressing.

We’re a modern, boutique salon that is passionate about beautiful hair, exceptional client experiences and developing the next generation of hairdressers. We believe the best apprenticeships are about more than completing a qualification - they’re about learning in a supportive salon environment, building confidence and developing the skills to create a long-term career in the industry.

What You'll Be Learning

As part of our team, you’ll receive hands-on training and experience across all areas of the salon, including:

• Shampooing and basin services
• Blow-drying and styling
• Hair treatments and conditioning services
• Colour preparation and application
• Foiling and balayage techniques
• Toners and gloss services
• Hair cutting fundamentals
• Keratin and smoothing services
• Hair extensions
• Client consultations and salon communication
• Salon presentation and professional standards
• Retail and product knowledge
• Building confidence in delivering exceptional client experiences

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from experienced stylists and participate in ongoing in-salon education and training both locally and interstate.

Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
