Servilles is seeking a Hairdressing Educator to join our team in Auckland CBD. Key responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and comprehensive hairdressing theory and practical training to students at all levels
• Demonstrating advanced hairdressing techniques including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their development
• Maintaining a safe, clean and professional learning environment that meets health and safety standards
• Mentoring and coaching students to build their confidence and professional competency
• Staying current with industry innovations and incorporating best practices into the curriculum
• Collaborating with other educators and salon professionals to ensure relevance and quality of training
• Supporting students in developing both technical skills and professional workplace readiness

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2+ years of professional hairdressing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise across cutting, colouring and styling

• In-depth knowledge of hair and beauty industry best practices, trends and safety standards

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate learners

• Passion for education and commitment to developing the next generation of hairdressing professionals

• Ability to create structured, engaging lessons that accommodate different learning styles

• Current or willingness to obtain relevant hairdressing qualifications and certifications

• A creative mindset with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse student needs

• Professional presentation and role modelling of industry standards
