About the role

Jejari Artistik Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and creative Hairstylist to join our team at our Genting Highlands, Pahang location. Key responsibilities

• Provide a full range of hair cutting, styling, and colouring services to clients, ensuring high standards of quality and precision
• Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and concerns, providing professional recommendations based on face shape, hair type, and lifestyle
• Maintain exceptional standards of personal hygiene and salon cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
• Keep abreast of current hair trends, techniques, and industry developments to offer clients contemporary and fashionable styles
• Operate and maintain all salon equipment and tools in a safe and professional manner
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging loyalty and repeat bookings through excellent customer service
• Collaborate with fellow team members to create a positive and supportive salon atmosphere
• Process client payments and manage booking schedules efficiently
• Recommend and promote hair care products to clients to enhance their at-home hair maintenance

What we're looking for

• Recognised qualification or certification in hairstyling or cosmetology from an accredited institution
• Proven experience working as a hairstylist in a professional salon environment, with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience preferred
• Strong technical skills in hair cutting, styling, colouring, and treatments, including proficiency with various hair types and textures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to client needs and provide tailored solutions
• Creative flair and an eye for detail, with the ability to execute a wide range of styles and trends
• Physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Proficiency in salon management software and appointment booking systems
• A professional, well-groomed appearance that reflects salon standards
• Customer service excellence and a genuine passion for making clients feel valued and confident
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices within the hair and beauty industry
