What they need
Looking for a flexible part-time role? Great at keeping things organised and passionate about making sure people are looked after?
Semtex is a locally owned and operated business working across plumbing, gasfitting, drainlaying and pipe relining. For over 11 years, we’ve built our business around quality work, a great team and a culture where looking after our people is a big deal.
We’re on the hunt for a Health & Safety Administrator to help us keep our health and safety systems organised, up to date and working well for our team.
About the role
This is a part-time, office-based role of around 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around the days and times worked. You’ll work alongside our team to coordinate the day-to-day administration behind our health and safety systems, including:
- Maintaining our training register
- Booking and coordinating staff training
- Keeping our health and safety software and records up to date
- Assisting with JSAs and other health and safety documentation
- Coordinating staff health & safety inductions
- Helping manage site inductions and related documentation
- Keeping records, registers and compliance information organised
- Following up with the team to make sure required H&S information is completed
- Occasional site visits to stay connected with what’s happening on the ground
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a solid administrator with great organisational skills
- Has excellent attention to detail and enjoys keeping things on track
- Is confident using systems and software
- Is proactive and comfortable following things up with a busy team
- Communicates well with a wide range of people
- Has a genuine interest in health and safety and understands why getting it right matters
- Is reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
You don’t need a formal Health & Safety qualification for this role. Some previous exposure to health and safety would be useful, but what’s more important is that you’re a capable administrator who is keen to learn and genuinely interested in helping us maintain a safe workplace.
Why join us?
Our people and our culture are a big deal. We work hard, support each other and enjoy having a laugh along the way. You’ll enjoy:
- 10–15 hours per week
- Flexibility around the days and times you work
- A friendly, down-to-earth team
- A varied role where you can make a genuine difference
- The opportunity to grow your health and safety knowledge
- A stable, locally owned business that genuinely cares about its people
If you’re an organised administrator looking for a flexible part-time role where your work helps keep a great team safe and supported, we’d love to hear from you.
