H&S and Compliance Advisor

Euro Corporation is a well-established and highly successful New Zealand-owned business operating across the manufacturing, rural and construction sectors.

With more than 350 employees nationwide, we’re involved in some of NZs most recognisable infrastructure projects, as well as supporting the construction and rural markets through our supply and distribution businesses.

We’re now looking for a H&S and Compliance Advisor to join our People team supporting our South Island operations.

About the roles

This is a practical, hands-on H&S roles where you’ll work closely with managers, supervisors and employees across our operations.

You’ll help keep our H&S systems working effectively, support sites with day-to-day health and safety matters, and work with operational teams to identify risks, investigate incidents and put practical controls in place.

There’s a good mix of site-based work, compliance and systems, incident and risk support, training and continuous improvement. You’ll need to be comfortable getting out into the operation, building relationships with people on the ground and helping managers find solutions that work in the real world.

Reporting into our GM-People in Auckland you will be part of a small, practical People team supporting the wider business.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who is practical, approachable and comfortable working with people at all levels of an operational business.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• 5 years’ experience in health & safety
• Experience working in heavy manufacturing, construction or another high-risk environment
• A good understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation
• Experience with H&S systems, compliance activities and reporting
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail
• The ability to build positive relationships with managers and employees
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• The confidence to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership
• A willingness to get out on site and work alongside operational teams
• A full NZ driver's licence

A relevant health and safety qualification, or working towards one, would be desirable.
