Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman Yard and Laborer to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of our building interior, exterior, and surrounding yard. Duties

• Assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components.
• Use hand tools and electrical equipment to perform routine repairs and troubleshooting across various facility systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing system upkeep, and mechanical inspections.
• Support yard operations by organizing materials, assisting with loading/unloading supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues with electrical or mechanical systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC units.
• Repair or replace electrical wiring, switches, outlets, or HVAC components as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members on large projects requiring welding, electrical work, or carpentry expertise while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and schematics for future reference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on skills using hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, and schematics reading.
• Familiarity with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, building interior maintenance, and carpentry tasks.
• Ability to operate electrical equipment safely; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting circuits with ohmmeters, and electrical work safety standards.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques and maintenance painting practices.
• Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems such as HVAC or electrical panels.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to follow detailed instructions clearly.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
