Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman to join our team, dedicated to maintaining and improving the functionality, safety, and appearance of our facilities. In this role, you will perform a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across various areas, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and construction regulations. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, doors, windows, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
• Assist with erosion control measures and implement safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines and workplace safety regulations.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and longevity.
• Support construction or renovation projects by following detailed plans and coordinating with other trades as needed.
• Climb ladders or scaffolding safely to access high areas; utilize respiratory protection equipment when required.
• Maintain a clean work environment by following proper disposal procedures for waste materials.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to industrial construction sites, including the implementation of OSHA safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial construction or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with erosion control techniques and environmental safety practices.
• Knowledge of workplace safety protocols including respiratory protection, climbing safety, heavy lifting procedures, and manual handling techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with power tools and industrial equipment in a safe manner.
• Strong communication skills to interpret technical instructions clearly and work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work outdoors or in confined spaces as required by project demands.
• Prior experience adhering to OSHA safety standards in industrial or commercial environments is highly preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
