Handyman

Goldstep Housing is a small business in the USA. We are professional, agile, and committed to providing our guests with a five-star experience. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Handyman to join our team and assist with building and assembling furniture for our properties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling furniture, ensuring all items are properly installed, and helping maintain our apartments to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have practical handyman skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build furniture, including beds, tables, chairs, desks, dressers, and other household items.
• Read and follow furniture assembly instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all furniture is sturdy, secure, and properly assembled.
• Assist with moving and positioning furniture as needed.
• Identify and report any damaged or missing furniture parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in handyman work or furniture assembly is preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time.
• Must be available to work on an on-call basis, as needed.
• Must be available for shifts of approximately 8–10 hours per day when called in.
• Must be able to start immediately.
• Work will be performed in person at our properties in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Schedule:

This is an on-call position, with work scheduled based on business needs. The successful candidate must have flexible availability and be prepared to work approximately 8–10 hours per day when needed. Work is needed immediately, and the number of days worked each week may vary.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
