Handyman

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Handyperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. You will be practical, self-motivated, and able to work independently while maintaining consistently high standards across a variety of maintenance tasks.

The Person

As this role involves travelling to multiple residential properties nationwide, you must hold a full, clean manual UK driving licence and be comfortable working across different locations. Attention to detail, a flexible approach, and a strong work ethic are essential.

The Job

Gateway is a leading property services company delivering high-quality estate management, maintenance, and related services to clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our maintenance team.

• General property maintenance and repairs
• Painting and decorating
• Window and gutter cleaning
• Lock and key installations
• Minor repairs and restorations
• Supporting wider maintenance projects as required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Delivering excellent service and maintaining positive relationships with residents and clients

We Are Looking for Individuals Who Have

• Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman, or property repair work
• A practical approach and good problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• The willingness to travel to multiple sites as required
• A full, clean manual UK driving licence

Job location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays
