Handyman

Position Summary

The Skilled Handyman is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and light remodeling tasks. This role requires hands-on experience, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage work independently while maintaining clear communication and professionalism with customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repair, and improvement work on residential and commercial properties.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot repair issues efficiently and accurately.
• Complete work to company quality and safety standards in a timely manner.
• Accurately price small to mid-sized jobs and prepare job cost estimates.
• Document work performed, materials used, and time spent for each job.
• Collect payments from customers upon job completion as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding scope, timelines, and expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all job sites.
• Uphold safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Collaborate with other team members and office staff to ensure excellent service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience (3+ years preferred) as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of general residential and commercial repair trades, including:

• Carpentry and drywall

• Painting and finishing

• Minor plumbing and electrical

• Door, window, and trim installation/repair

• General home improvement and maintenance tasks

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and basic tools.
• Safety-conscious and physically capable of performing manual tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience pricing and managing small projects.
• Familiarity with mobile job management or time-tracking apps.
• Light plumbing or electrical license (a plus, but not required).
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
