H&H Repair, LLC is a growing handyman service and home maintenance company headquartered in Ravenna, Ohio; serving clients throughout all of Northeast Ohio. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Entry-Level Handyman / Maintenance Technician who enjoys working with property owners and commercial properties to help maintain and solve problems for owners. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of construction or skilled-trade experience who is looking to broaden their abilities, work on a variety of projects, and grow with an expanding company.

Position Overview

The Handyman / Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of property maintenance, repair, and light construction services at customer locations throughout Northeast Ohio. No two days will be exactly the same. Work may include carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, fixture installation, property maintenance, and general construction activities. The successful candidate will be professional, dependable, mechanically inclined, and most importantly, comfortable working independently and willing to learn new skills.

Primary Responsibilities

· Perform general residential and commercial repair and maintenance work.

· Complete minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing projects.

· Assist with minor plumbing and electrical repairs and fixture replacements within the employee's training and applicable knowledge or skillset.

· Install doors, trim, hardware, shelving, fixtures, and other building components.

· Perform basic troubleshooting and identify appropriate repair solutions.

· Assist with remodeling, rehabilitation, and property improvement projects.

· Pick up, transport, and organize materials, tools, and supplies.

· Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas.

· Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and subcontractors.

· Document completed work and communicate additional repair needs when identified.

· Follow company safety standards and maintain clean, organized job sites.

· Perform other property maintenance and construction-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should ideally have 2-3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

· General construction or remodeling

· Carpentry

· Electrical work

· Plumbing

· Property maintenance

· Facilities maintenance

· HVAC or mechanical trades

· Residential rehabilitation or similar skilled-trade work

Formal trade-school education is helpful but is not required. H&H Repair is willing to consider candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, a willingness to learn, and relevant hands-on experience.

Required Qualifications

· Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

· Be able to safely operate a company vehicle.

· Be able to lift and carry construction materials, tools, and equipment.

· Be comfortable working on ladders and in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.

· Have reliable attendance and the ability to report to jobs throughout Northeast Ohio.

· Demonstrate professional communication and customer-service skills.

· Be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

· Be legally authorized to work in the United States.

· Successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening prior to the first day of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

· Annual salary of $55,000-$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the motivation and ability to develop into a crew leader within approximately three years, with responsibility for overseeing projects, coordinating other employees or subcontractors, communicating with customers, managing materials and schedules, and helping ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and on time. Reliability, workmanship, professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn are as important to us as technical experience. Pay: $44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
