Handyman Pro - Multiple roles available

City Handyman is an expanding handyman and property maintenance business servicing the domestic and commercial markets of the inner suburbs of Melbourne and the Melbourne CBD.

Multiple contractor roles have become available to work within the City Handyman Divisions of :

• City Handyman Pro & City Handyman Projects (requiring a ute/van/vehicle/tools)

• City Handyman Painting (requiring a ute/van/vehicle/tools)

  City Handyman is experiencing a period of growth within these Divisions, and is receiving an increasing number of enquiries from both new and existing clients to assist with general handyman, project, and painting services within the residential and commercial environment.

• Earning potential based and depending on work undertaken, and procured materials margins, and can range in the $1800 - $2400+ / week vicinity depending on skills/abilities & organisation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for these opportunities you must:

• Have a Full drivers licence for the Handyman Pro, Projects, & Painting roles

• For City Handyman Pro roles, have a versatile background including experience in a range of basic handyman tasks including installations, picture hanging, patch & paint works, installation of wall fixtures, eg whiteboards, artwork etc, experience and an interest in general handyman and property maintenance work. Carpentry, minor carpentry, general repairs, tiling, and plaster repair skills are also very advantageous in this line of work.

• For City Handyman painting roles, have experience with patching to a high standard + painting works, from small patches to whole apartment/homes/commercial spaces is required. Experience in all aspects of general painting and it's preparation is required.

• Have experience using hand tools and compact battery cordless tools

• Have a professional, friendly and enthusiastic approach in dealing with both clients and the general public.

• Have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, and ability to delegate works within a team; whilst always working to OH&S standards and Safe Work Practices.

• Have strong attention to detail, be focused, have a positive attitude and must take pride in the quality of their workmanship.

• Be well groomed and presented, and maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times.

• Be self-motivated.

• Have strong problem solving and time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and organise and schedule works as required. This is a critical requirement.

• Have Technology skills (Web, Email, SMS and MMS, smartphone familiarity and ability to learn and use smartphone apps for job schedules and payment processing)

• Have a White card (essential)

THE ROLES:

• A trade qualification is not essential, but helps. Suitable, directly related, or transferable experience is essential. What also is essential, is a keen and genuine interest in handyman work with the ability to apply existing skills to required tasks, and to possess an open mind allowing you to constantly learn about new products, skills, and techniques.

• This opportunity is not limited to the above list of skills and experience. Due to the nature of handyman work, it is expected that the operator is able to turn a hand to many a varied task. City Handyman services various markets.
