Handyman / Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Handyman/Maintenance Worker to join our apartment maintenance team. The ideal candidate will help keep our buildings, apartments, and common areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman and maintenance work throughout apartment buildings.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants, including cleaning, touch-up painting, patching walls, and general repairs.
• Clean and maintain vacant units and common areas.
• Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring repairs.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, and other apartment items as needed.
• Handle basic plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Assist with move-out and move-in preparation of apartments.
• Remove debris, clean up work areas, and keep buildings neat and presentable.
• Respond to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform routine inspections and report any major maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all building safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or similar position preferred.
• Experience working in apartment buildings or residential properties is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and general repairs.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and perform physical maintenance tasks.

Schedule

Monday – Friday

This is a paid full-time position with consistent weekday hours.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can help keep our apartment properties clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Pay: $25.08 - $31.41 per hour
