What they need
We're partnering with a fast-growing robotics company developing autonomous ground vehicles for demanding real-world applications.
They're looking for a hands-on Embedded Hardware Engineer to own the design of the robot's main circuit board from circuit design and PCB layout through testing, production, and field support. This is an opportunity to take real ownership of hardware, work alongside experienced engineers, and see your designs move from the lab into deployed robotic systems.
What you'll do
- Design custom multilayer PCBs, schematics, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Develop power systems, including DC-DC converters, battery interfaces, protection circuits, and motor-power distribution.
- Integrate microcontrollers, CAN, Ethernet/PoE, sensors, and other hardware interfaces.
- Bring up and debug boards, run validation tests, and support manufacturing.
- Work with firmware and mechanical engineers to build reliable hardware for demanding environments.
What we're looking for
- Around 3–5 years of relevant experience ; candidates with approximately 2–10 years will be considered.
- Professional experience designing custom PCBs and electronic circuits.
- Practical knowledge of power electronics and embedded microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, and hardware validation.
- A product-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving engineering team.
- Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required U.S. security clearance.
Preferred: Altium Designer, robotics or automotive electronics, motor controllers, battery systems, CAN/Ethernet, and experience designing for shock, vibration, and thermal reliability.
What's on offer
- Ownership of core electronics on a real-world robotics product.
- Close collaboration with experienced engineers.
- The opportunity to help take hardware from prototype to production and field deployment.
