Role: Hardware Engineer – Repairability & Validation

Summary

Seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer with experience in battery testing, hardware validation, repairability, and engineering experiments. The ideal candidate will evaluate product serviceability, execute validation tests, document results, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product repair processes and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on hardware testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, and repairability assessments on consumer electronic devices, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
• Design, execute, and document engineering experiments and hardware validation tests to evaluate product serviceability, repair processes, tooling, and quality.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to identify design improvements, assess risks, and support repairability and regulatory requirements.
• Track project schedules, analyze test results, and prepare technical reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or product design experience, with hands-on hardware testing, repair, or validation exposure.
• Experience with battery testing, hardware experiments, manufacturing validation, or consumer electronics.
• Familiarity with repair processes, service tooling, or the Apple Service ecosystem is highly desirable.
• Strong documentation, project coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
