THE OPPORTUNITY

We are supporting a fast-growing US deep-tech business developing highly complex electronic systems for next-generation technology platforms.

They are looking for a Hardware Engineering Manager who can combine strong hands-on electronics knowledge with technical leadership and people management.

You will lead a team of hardware engineers while remaining close to architecture, design reviews, technical decisions and product delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead and develop a team of electrical and hardware engineers
• Own delivery of complex electronic hardware programmes
• Guide system and board-level architecture decisions
• Review schematics, PCB designs and technical documentation
• Support mixed-signal, analog and digital electronics development
• Drive hardware from concept through prototype, validation and production
• Work closely with FPGA, firmware, systems, mechanical and manufacturing teams
• Lead design reviews, troubleshooting and root-cause investigations
• Support hiring, mentoring and team growth
• Improve hardware development processes and engineering standards

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong background in electrical / electronic hardware engineering
• Previous engineering leadership or people management experience
• Strong PCB / PCBA design knowledge
• Experience with mixed-signal electronics
• Knowledge of ADCs, DACs, processors, FPGAs and analog front ends
• Hands-on experience taking complex electronics from concept through test
• Strong debugging and laboratory experience
• Comfortable leading engineers while remaining technically involved
