Hardware Engineering Manager

My client, a fast-growing, clinical-stage biotech in Southwest Florida developing new cancer therapies and imaging agents, is building out its in-house hardware engineering capability. They need a player-coach to lead their engineering team: you'll manage 4–5 mechanical and software engineers while personally owning the electrical design of their Class II/III products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small mechanical and software engineering team
• Do the circuit design, schematics, and PCB layout yourself, through bring-up and verification
• Drive development under design controls, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601 testing
• Work alongside the company's scientific, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
• Current hands-on PCB design experience (Altium, OrCAD, or similar)
• Class II or III product development under ISO 13485 / 21 CFR 820
• Experience leading engineers
