Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases for embedded controllers and electronic control units (ECUs).
• Support HIL test setups using dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or similar tools.
• Perform functional, regression, and requirements-based testing.
• Use CANalyzer or CANoe to analyze vehicle communication networks.
• Assist with Python scripting and test automation.
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and document test results.
• Collaborate with software, controls, and systems engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience, including internships or academic projects.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems, control systems, and CAN communication.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a laboratory environment.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on exposure to HIL testing.
• Knowledge of dSPACE, NI VeriStand, CANoe, or CANalyzer.
• Basic Python scripting or test automation experience.
• Understanding of ECU testing and embedded software validation.
