Hardware Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, printers, UPS, and IT peripherals.
• Install and replace hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, motherboard, processor, etc.
• Perform OS installation, driver configuration, BIOS setup, and basic software troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, IP, and network connectivity issues.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients and internal users.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain service reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and hardware replacements.
• Maintain IT asset and hardware inventory records.
• Resolve service requests within defined timelines.
• Travel to client locations for installation and technical support when required.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. / ITI in Computer Hardware, IT, Electronics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in hardware/desktop support or IT field service.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle client requirements.
• Willingness to travel for onsite support.
