A1 Infotech Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Hardware Technician to join our team in Waikato.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have at least one of the following:

• At least two years of relevant work experience; or
• A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher; or
• Any bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is also considered relevant and acceptable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware, peripherals and operating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues while providing timely technical support to users.
• Respond to user enquiries regarding computer hardware, software and network-related problems.
• Repair or replace faulty peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, monitors, terminals and modems.
• Install, upgrade and configure software applications to meet user and organisational requirements.
• Configure, implement and maintain computer networks to ensure reliable connectivity and efficient system performance.
• Integrate and configure network devices, telecommunications equipment and computer hardware.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications systems, including microwave, satellite, telemetry, multiplexing and other communication technologies where required.
• Monitor system performance and carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Assist with planning, implementing and maintaining customer telecommunications and network infrastructure.
• Design, update and maintain organisational websites where required.
• Install, configure and maintain computer peripherals and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, repairs, maintenance activities and technical documentation.
• Ensure that hardware, software and network systems comply with organisational security policies and operational standards.
• Provide technical guidance and user training on the effective use of computer systems and equipment.
