Hardware Test Engineer (FA)

Our client, a large tech company, is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join their Manufacturing Test and Controls (MTAC) team. This role focuses on developing test strategies and solutions for new robotics products, with an emphasis on automation, cycle time reduction, and quality improvement. The position involves working with cross-functional teams globally to deliver high-quality robotics solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test development within complex manufacturing environments. You'll be responsible for developing test equipment, software, and processes for robotic systems, while working closely with engineering and production teams, as well as external vendors. The role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be providing cross-functional guidance across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software domains.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop equipment, software, and processes for production test of robotic systems.
• Specify and guide test development with vendors.
• Write test procedures, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Transfer test solutions to manufacturers.
• Guide manufacturing team in resolving complex problems.
• Propose design changes for manufacturability and testability.

Qualification Requirements :

• BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 3-5+ years related work experience in fast-paced environments.
• 3-5+ years of hands on experience with LabVIEW and TestStand
• Knowledge of test fixture design and automated test equipment.
• Experience designing electrical test interfaces.
• Expertise with test strategy development and implementation.
• Experience writing code to control equipment using high-level programming languages.
• Python scripting experience is preferred but not required
