Harnessing/Assembly Technician

About the opportunity

Headsbase is recruiting for an Harnessing/Assembly Technician opportunity in Chatsworth, California. This role is suited to a hands-on technician with experience in electrical assembly, wire harnessing, cable assembly, and working from technical drawings or work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and route wires, cables, and wire harnesses according to approved drawings and work instructions.
• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly tasks while following established quality procedures.
• Use appropriate hand tools, crimping tools, and assembly equipment.
• Inspect assemblies for workmanship, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Document work and report quality issues in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Follow workplace safety requirements and applicable electrostatic-discharge (ESD) controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, wire harnessing, cable assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
• Familiarity with crimping, wire preparation, connector installation, and assembly inspection, as applicable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work on-site in Chatsworth, California.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing.
• Experience with soldering and applicable soldering workmanship standards.
• Relevant soldering certifications, such as J-STD-001, if required for the specific assignment.
