Harp Instructor

Overview

Lead engaging harp lessons that help students build musical skill, confidence, and a lasting interest in the arts. You’ll teach learners of varied ages and abilities, adapt instruction to their goals, and create a welcoming, well-managed classroom. This role is focused on harp and music instruction; related arts experience can enrich your teaching approach.

Duties

• Plan and deliver individual and group harp lessons, including instruction in technique, music reading, practice habits, and instrumental performance.
• Develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans; assess progress and adjust activities to support each student.
• Your impact: By tailoring lessons to students’ needs, you help them grow as musicians and feel confident participating in music.
• Maintain positive lesson and behavior management, including when working with children, preschool-age learners, or students with special education needs.

Requirements

• Demonstrated harp ability and experience teaching music, instrumental performance, or other musical instruments.
• Experience working with students and children; youth programs, tutoring, childcare, early childhood education, preschool, or classroom experience is valuable.
• Skills in teaching arts and visual and performing arts, curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and childhood development.
• Clear communication, patience, and the ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and abilities.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
