APG is currently recruiting Hatchery Assistants for our client based in Devon Meadows, VIC.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing work with a supportive team, where you can learn new skills and receive full on-the-job training. No previous hatchery experience is required.

• $33.11 per hour- Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
• Monday & Tuesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
• Friday & Saturday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Onsite parking available

About the Role
Working as part of the hatchery team, you will assist with a range of daily operations. This is a hands-on and physically active role, where you will be on your feet for most of the shift and working at a steady pace.
Your duties will include:

• Transferring and stacking egg trays onto trolleys
• Monitoring the incubation process
• Cleaning equipment, rooms and work areas
• Operating tray washing equipment
• Assisting with general hatchery duties
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to ensure daily production targets are met

About You
We’re looking for people who are:

• Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
• Comfortable lifting up to 20kgs
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
• A good communicator
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willing to learn and take on new tasks
