About the role

Western Container Services is seeking an experienced HC Driver to join our road transport operations team. This is a full-time, day-shift position based in Strathfield South, NSW. The role involves the safe and efficient delivery of shipping containers, goods and materials using heavy combination vehicles, with sideloader and chain-and-dog experience highly regarded. Work includes both Sydney metropolitan deliveries and regional/country NSW day runs.

What you'll be doing

·         Operate Heavy Combination (HC) vehicles to transport shipping containers, goods and materials across Sydney Metro and regional NSW.

·         Carry out pre-start, pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and safety.

·         Follow all road transport regulations, company procedures and safety requirements.

·         Liaise professionally with customers and coordinate delivery requirements as needed.

·         Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork and transport documentation.

·         Support the broader logistics and operations team when required.

What we're looking for

·         Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver’s licence with a strong driving record.

·         Minimum 3–5 years’ HC driving experience.

·         Sideloader experience is highly regarded; training may be considered for the right applicant.

·         Experience with chain-and-dog loading is an advantage.

·         Current MSIC card is essential.

·         Ability to read maps, use GPS systems and plan efficient delivery routes.

·         Good communication skills and a professional approach with customers and team members.

·         Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to safe work practices.
