Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) Field Supervisor to oversee and coordinate field operations related to HDD projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily field activities, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of HDD processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Bilingual in Spanish is ideal to facilitate communication with the team.

Duties

• Supervise daily HDD field operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, crew members, and clients to plan and execute drilling activities.
• Monitor safety protocols and enforce safety standards across all field activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and materials to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field crews during drilling operations.
• Track project progress, document daily activities, and report on operational status.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during drilling processes and implement solutions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and safety policies.
• Assist in training new team members and promote best practices within the crew.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HDD operations or related fieldwork supervision.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus for facilitating communication with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of HDD equipment, techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot operational issues quickly.
• Valid driver’s license; relevant certifications related to construction or drilling are preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel as required for project sites.

Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
