What they need
- Pull consistently excellent espresso; dial in daily by taste, not just numbers
- Steam and pour silky microfoam with clean latte art (rosettas, tulips, swans)
- Run quality control: grind, extraction, milk texture, and drink consistency checks
- Manage multiple coffee brands and roasters: rotation, freshness, storage, and menu pairing
- Train, coach, and schedule the barista team
- Maintain equipment (grinders, machines, water filtration) and a spotless bar
- Handle inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
Requirements
- 3+ years barista experience, 1+ in a lead role
- Strong latte art and milk-steaming skills
- Knowledge of brewing methods, extraction, and water chemistry
- Leadership, calm under pressure, and a guest-first attitude
Nice to have: SCA certification, cupping experience, a portfolio of your work
