Full-Time | $65,000 – $72,000 + Super

XS Espresso is one of Australia’s fastest-growing community-focused café brands, with multiple locations across Sydney and Newcastle and exciting growth ahead.

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista / Supervisor to join our Wetherill Park team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely loves great coffee, great hospitality and working with people. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high coffee standards while helping lead the team and ensuring the café runs smoothly throughout the day.

THE ROLE

As our Head Barista / Supervisor, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the café, including:

• Leading by example and setting the standard for coffee and hospitality
• Preparing consistently excellent coffee and maintaining XS coffee standards
• Training, coaching and developing baristas and other team members
• Supervising the team during service and keeping the café running smoothly
• Helping manage opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and café standards
• Monitoring coffee quality, stock levels and ordering requirements
• Supporting the Café Manager with daily operational responsibilities
• Building strong relationships with regular guests and getting to know our local community
• Creating a positive, energetic and supportive workplace
• Helping identify opportunities to improve service, coffee quality and overall guest experience

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Head Barista, Senior Barista, Barista Supervisor or similar
• Has strong knowledge of specialty coffee and espresso preparation
• Is confident leading and motivating a team
• Takes pride in consistency, presentation and attention to detail
• Has excellent communication and people skills
• Understands that great hospitality is about more than just making great coffee
• Is reliable, energetic and enjoys being part of a team
• Is confident working in a busy, fast-paced café environment
• Wants to grow with a business that is continuing to expand
