Chapter Too is a community-focused café in the heart of Heathmont, passionate about quality coffee, delicious food and exceptional customer service. We are looking for an experienced Barista / Supervisor to help lead our team and deliver a welcoming experience to every customer.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident, hands-on Barista / Supervisor who can lead by example, maintain high service standards and support the smooth day-to-day running of the café.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee and other beverages consistently.
• Supervise and support café staff during daily operations.
• Coordinate staff duties and help manage busy service periods.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer enquiries professionally.
• Ensure the café maintains high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, stock monitoring and restocking.
• Support staff training, teamwork and efficient workflow.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and contribute to a positive team culture.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant barista experience.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience in a café or hospitality environment.
• Strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of espresso equipment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on during busy periods.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures.
• Availability to work weekends is essential.
• Reliable, punctual, positive and able to work under pressure.

Pay: $26.44 – $48.54 per hour
