Head Bartender

Role Description

The Head Bartender is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role oversees daily bar operations, including preparing and serving beverages, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards. The Head Bartender trains and guides bar staff, maintains high levels of customer service, and supports an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Responsibilities also include coordinating with the wider team on promotions, monitoring cash handling at the bar, and maintaining accurate records of sales and stock. The Head Bartender is expected to lead by example, uphold company values, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Hands-on experience in Food & Beverage operations, including bar setup, beverage preparation, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Proven Bartending expertise, including knowledge of classic and contemporary drinks, garnishing, and responsible alcohol service.
• Accurate Cash Handling abilities, including processing payments, managing tills, and reconciling daily sales.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or lead bartender role is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage inventory and bar supplies efficiently.
• Basic proficiency in English and local languages is an advantage, along with familiarity with POS systems.
