About Us
Cabü by the Lakes is a luxury lakeside cabin retreat set in the heart of Killykeen Forest Park, surrounded by the lakes and woodlands of Co. Cavan. We welcome couples, families, groups and corporate guests looking to slow down, reconnect and enjoy something a little special. At the centre of it all is The Cabin Club Bar, a warm, relaxed space where guests gather after a day on the water or in the forest.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced, personable Head Bartender to take ownership of The Cabin Club Bar. You'll lead the bar team and make sure every guest, from a couple on a weekend break to a corporate group celebrating a successful offsite, gets outstanding, genuine hospitality.

What You'll Do

• Run day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing and service standards
• Lead, train and motivate the bar team, and help with rostering
• Develop and refresh the drinks menu, with a focus on quality cocktails, Irish craft beers, spirits and wines
• Manage stock control, ordering, supplier relationships and cost margins
• Deliver bar service for private events, group bookings and corporate functions
• Ensure full compliance with licensing law, health and safety and responsible service of alcohol
• Work closely with the General Manager on promotions, seasonal offerings and guest experience

What We're Looking For

• At least 2–3 years' bartending experience, ideally including a supervisory or senior role
• Strong cocktail and product knowledge, with a genuine passion for drinks
• A warm, confident manner with guests and a natural ability to create atmosphere
• Leadership skills and a calm head during busy service
• Experience with stock control and POS systems
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Own transport is an advantage, given our forest park location
