Head Bartender

About the role

Oversee and manage daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Lead, coordinate, and support the bar team during daily operations. Ensure all beverages are prepared and served consistently according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of beverage quality, consistency, and guest experience
• Train, coach, and develop bar team members in beverage knowledge, service standards, and bartending techniques
• Monitor beverage inventory, stock levels, usage, and replenishment requirements
• Conduct regular stock checks and support effective inventory and beverage cost control
• Monitor wastage, breakage, and portion control to minimize operational losses
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of beverages, bar equipment, and glassware
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar area in accordance with restaurant standards
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and concerns professionally
• Coordinate with the Restaurant, Service, and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, health, safety, and hygiene standards

About you

• Previous experience in bartending or bar operations, with experience in a senior or leadership role preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, mocktails, and other beverages
• Good understanding of bar operations, beverage preparation, inventory management, and cost control
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about beverages and hospitality
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Professional attitude with strong teamwork and service orientation
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Relevant bartending or hospitality certification is an advantage
