Head Bartender

The Head Bartender is responsible for overseeing bar operations, leading the bartending team, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves developing beverage menus, training staff, managing inventory, monitoring costs, and maintaining a clean and organized bar while ensuring responsible alcohol service and a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily bar operations and ensure efficient beverage service.
• Lead, supervise, and train bartenders and bar staff.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Develop creative drink recipes and contribute to beverage menu updates.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure friendly, attentive, and professional customer service.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints appropriately.
• Prepare staff schedules and coordinate bar shift assignments.
• Monitor beverage inventory, stock levels, and supply orders.
• Manage beverage costs, minimize waste, and maintain portion standards.
• Ensure accurate POS transactions, cash handling, and payment processing.
• Verify customer age when required and follow responsible alcohol-service practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar, glassware, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies.
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and restaurant management.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Complete opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
• Maintain inventory records and communicate operational issues to management.
• Support promotions, special events, and initiatives to improve beverage sales.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous bartending experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage preparation.
• Excellent drink-mixing, presentation, and customer-service skills.
• Proven leadership and team-management abilities.
• Experience with beverage inventory and cost control.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations.
• Understanding of bar sanitation, hygiene, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to train and motivate bartending staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer-conflict resolution skills.

Pay: $23.99 - $28.89 per hour
