Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Head Cashier to oversee daily billing operations, manage cash handling, supervise cashiers, and ensure smooth and accurate transactions at the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cashier team.
• Ensure accurate billing and smooth checkout operations.
• Manage cash handling, cash collection, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
• Monitor cashier counters and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Verify cash shortages, excess amounts, and billing discrepancies and report them to the concerned manager.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, card payments, UPI transactions, refunds, and cancellations as per company policies.
• Ensure all cashiers follow billing procedures and standard operating practices.
• Support cashier training and guide team members on billing systems and customer service.
• Coordinate with the Store Manager and accounts team regarding daily sales reports and cash deposits.
• Ensure proper maintenance of billing records and transaction documents.
• Handle customer billing complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the billing counters.
• Monitor POS system issues and coordinate with the concerned team for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and cash-handling procedures.

Qualification

• Minimum 12th pass; graduates preferred.
• Previous experience in retail billing or supermarket operations is required.
• Experience supervising a cashier team or working as a Senior Cashier is preferred.
• Knowledge of POS billing systems, cash reconciliation, and digital payment methods is essential.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
