Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef / Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee the culinary direction of C Bar & Bistro, a contemporary Asian Bar & Bistro in Del Mar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, high-quality service.
• Develop and execute contemporary Asian menus, recipes, and plating standards.
• Lead, train, and develop the kitchen team.
• Manage food cost, labor, inventory, purchasing, and waste.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on menu development and restaurant strategy.
• Lead the kitchen during high-volume service.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of culinary experience, including Head Chef, Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or strong Sous Chef experience.
• Experience in a high-volume, upscale, or premium restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary Asian cuisine preferred.
• Proven leadership and menu development skills.
• Strong understanding of food cost and kitchen operations.
• Ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Chef: 3 years (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
