Head Chef / Kitchen Lead

MINT is hiring an experienced, hands-on Head Chef for our farm-to-table scratch kitchen. This is a working leadership position for someone who is highly organized, clean, dependable, and confident running the line primarily independently with a scratch menu.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all menu items consistently and efficiently
• Organize and lead daily kitchen operations
• Complete scratch prep using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Properly store, rotate, layer, label, and protect produce, herbs, seafood, meats, and prepared foods to minimize waste
• Manage inventory, ordering, food costs, and portion control
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and food-safety standards
• Train and guide additional kitchen staff when scheduled
• Communicate positively with the executive chef and front-of-house team

Menu and recipe development are handled by Executive Chef. This position focuses on organization, leadership, preparation, consistency, and excellent execution in our second location.

Schedule: Four dinner services per week, approximately 35–45 hours, with additional catering opportunities available.

We are looking for a true culinary professional who takes pride in beautiful plating, thoughtfully prepared food, an exceptionally clean and organized kitchen, and being part of a positive, dependable team. Consistent attendance, punctuality, personal accountability, and reliable arrival for every scheduled shift are essential. This is not a position for someone simply looking to collect a paycheck.
