Head Chef

About the role

We are looking for a driven, commercially minded Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help take our business to the next level. We are a business that is managed by numbers, and we are looking for a chef who understands that a successful kitchen is built on great food, strong leadership, consistency, cost control, and smart decision-making. The right person will be passionate about food, but also confident working with targets, budgets, food costs, wage costs, stock control, and kitchen performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and presentation
• Manage food costs, stock control, wastage, and ordering
• Work closely with management to achieve business targets
• Create and improve menu items with a focus on quality, profitability, and customer experience
• Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently during service
• Train and mentor junior chefs
• Bring fresh ideas, innovation, and a proactive mindset to the business
• Take responsibility for kitchen systems, procedures, and overall performance
