HEAD CHEF

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise the daily kitchen operations
• Plan and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities
• Ensure all dishes meet the required quality, taste, portion and presentation standards
• Ensure strict compliance with company recipes, kitchen SOPs and food safety requirements
• Monitor food cost, portion control, wastage and ingredient usage
• Manage kitchen stock, ordering and proper storage of ingredients
• Train, guide and monitor kitchen staff performance
• Maintain high standards of kitchen production quality, cleanliness, hygiene and food handling
• Ensure food preparation and orders are completed on time, especially during peak hours
• Identify kitchen issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Assist in menu improvement, recipe development and kitchen process improvements
• Conduct regular checks on ingredients, equipment and kitchen conditions
• Prepare and submit kitchen-related reports when required
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management

📌 REQUIREMENTS

At least 3–5 years of relevant kitchen/restaurant experience
Previous Head Chef / Senior Chef experience is an advantage
Chinese restaurant experience preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food hygiene
Good leadership and team management skills, communication and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and make appropriate decisions
Responsible, disciplined, hardworking and positive in attitude
Able to Speak & Write in Chinese
Able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays
Willing to learn and strictly follow company SOPs
