Job Summary

Benedicts is seeking an experienced, skilled, and dependable Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, maintain high food-quality standards, and support the kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary leadership, organization, and communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation
• Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff
• Prepare and oversee menu items according to restaurant standards
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards
• Develop and maintain recipes and kitchen preparation procedures
• Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Monitor inventory, supplies, food costs, and ordering needs
• Ensure proper food storage, handling, and temperature control
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards

Requirements

• Previous Head Chef, Executive Chef, or senior kitchen experience preferred
• Strong culinary and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Pay: £16.00-£23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
